Squaw Valley is another ski resort suitable for longer vacations. Thanks to the deals offered, staying for couple of days here won’t break your budget. The terrain in this area is great for advanced skiers, and your lift ticket gives you access to both mountains (although you’ll have to shuttle between them).
Flying into Reno is the easiest and cheapest way to get to the Tahoe area, and Squaw is about an hour’s drive from the Reno International.
Where To Stay: There are a handful of higher end options in the village, so VRBO is the way to go for the $200-250 range, and there are even a few sub-$150 Airbnbs.
