Mammoth Mountain Just Got 14 Feet Of Snow

Hugely popular resort Mammoth Mountain in Mammoth Lakes, California has been getting hammered for the last week with a snow storm that’s been raging along the entire Sierra range.

@jasonstrom_

The total storm snowfall is currently measured at 186 inches, with at least 116 inches accumulated and a foot of that since last night. The powder is so deep that other resorts have had to close, something that hasn’t happened in a few years!

Snowfall is still expected the rest of the week and the national weather service issued a blizzard warning, so it should be an extremely deep holiday weekend!

Check the lift status page for updates, a lot of stuff may be closed because of high winds or snow clearing. If you’re driving up, snow tires or chains are obviously required. Hotels for the long weekend are mostly sold out though, and there is not any Airbnb availability either.
