HOSSEGOR: After one off day in Paris at the Euro Disney we had a 12 hour drive ahead of us to the surf capital of Europe – Hossegor. The Quik Pro is about to start and therefor everybody is in town. Billabong helped set up this stop and held the Absinthe-Billabong collab jacket launch in the Billabong store in the early afternoon. Taj Borrows along with Joel Parkinson came along for some beers. More Apéro’s where served at the Café de Paris and at 10PM the cinema was filled with a great crowd of lots’ of familiar faces. David Pitschi and Buffalo made it all happen! Good job guys. Travis Rice who was in the area showed up even and once again a good screening went down. Afterparty was at the Rock Food…where else.
SAN SEBASTIAN: The European tour is coming to an end. The Black Pearl headed south to San Sebastian in Spain for it’s final ride. The most south stop on the tour as well home of as long time Absinthe member Iker Fernandez. Since Travis Rice had his premiere of the Art of Flight (3D) the night before at the San Sebastian Film Festival, he stuck around for some tappas and sangria. Ben Bryan from Red Bull Media House was in town as well as Chad from Brain Farm Cinema. The show took place at the La Rotonda club right at the beach. Great venue but due to a local soccer game the turn out was rather slim. A few hours after our screening – around 3 AM people started rolling in! At the end there were about a 1000 people partying their ass off at the MASHROOM party till sunrise. A great way to end this trip.
